I agree bro, the problem is FightHype could confirm/deny with one phone call to Mayweather.

I take it you have seen this article from Thompson ?
The news of Floyd Mayweather supposedly saying in an email that he told Manny Pacquiao a 50/50 split can't happen sent shockwaves throughout the

Ben Thompson needs to call Floyd and confirm/deny, instead of just giving his opinion.

Bob Arum has not been able to get away with his sneaky under-handed rubbish because Team Mayweather and GBP..... as well as FightHype, etc..... are watching Arum like a hawk. They are not allowing themselves to be played like they did in May-July 2010..... so it is unlikely that anything significant will happen without it being bought to Mayweather's attention personally.

Ben Thompson needs to confirm/deny with Mayweather directly.

I dont want to end up agreeing with Arum and have you calling me a *******

Strong possibility that Team Mayweather and Team Pacquiao are in this public BS together. The blockages in making this fight are too ridiculous. This is either a big ploy to make the fight happen later or never.

The very second that you believe that, then you have been officially fooled.

If I were to point out the following facts, would it change your opinion ?

1.) Bob Arum is well-known for exaggerating/lying about the state of fight negotiations, and has been doing it for 40 years.

2.) Arum has been convicted of bribery and corruption.

3.) Arum makes a small fortune matching Pac against in-house fighters because he can take 27% from Pac, the agreed percentage from his opponent, the middle-money, and the back-end..... when fighting Mayweather he takes a huge risk with Manny's marketability and only makes the 27% from Pac.

Surely you can see who has the most to gain ?

Exactly, the guy who has the most to gain just so happens to be the same guy who is a proven master of deceit, an extremely well-known liar who has already been convicted of bribery and corruption.

I put it to you, that the ONLY reason why it is not plainly obvious to you that Arum is roadblocking the fight..... is because you really do not want that to be the case..... which is absolutely fkn absurd.

Seems like its true after Mayweather's latest tweet just minutes ago.

A month ago, Pacquiao said he would take a cut to fight me. Now that I called him out, he wants a big piece? Read this: tiny.cc/650ea

It just doesn't make any sense to me. Why did Pacquiao say he was just waiting on Floyd's response when Floyd told him flat out that a 50/50 deal was off the table? Was Pacquiao afraid to get yelled at by Arum? And where's the source for this story anyway? Who asked Arum about this whole thing and how come he didn't know about Floyd's stance when he was first informed of the phone call?
Regardless of what the mindless crazies like to dribble about, neither Arum nor Pacquiao live in one another's pockets. They each have their own affairs and large business empires to be involved in, if not actually running them, they each have many committments etc. It's more than likely that each has at least one, or maybe more, secretaries who keep them u to date with what meeting or appearance they must make next. They can only make contact with one another by phone or email; the occasional personal meetings make headlines. A celebrity's and tycoon's life is, to me a rotten one. But they make these sacrifices for either fame, wealth, other ambitions, or even just because they have active bodies and minds. Again, a rotten life.

You say all this crap about Arum, but nothing about Floyd. You do know Floyd is going to jail, right? LMFO. Floyd has been as big as a flip flopper as Arum when it comes to making the Pacquiao fight. I never said there was only one person roadblocking this fight, but it seems you are.

The fight is not happening anyway now that Floyd confirmed the story on twitter, which means they're not even willing to sit down and talk about it. Still it seems like a pretty big detail to leave out that he wanted the biggest share.

Floyd just commented on the 50/50 split via Twitter. "A month ago, Pacquiao said he would take a cut to fight me. Now that I called him out, he wants a big piece?" Bob Arum is most likely in Manny's ear telling him not to accept less money.
