lol Well, not exactly. I believe you're referring to this post I made in reply to Natas's remark that he bet real money on Rigo, but was getting nervous as the fight approached:
Ahahahaha!! Isn't it always like that though? I'm pretty confident in Rigo; but as the fight approaches, I must admit I'm not as *certain* as I was before. And I don't even have money on it! Hopefully we'll both be laughing tomorrow night!
The reality is that I know Rigo is much better than Ramos, but anything can happen in boxing (just ask Shimoda). I have such high hopes for Guillermo that I would be deflated if he lost, especially to an inferior boxer. A Rigondeaux loss, to me, is a blow to the Cuban school of boxing. How's that for high regard?Last edited by CubanGuyNYC; 01-21-2012, 02:08 AM.Comment

Yeah I saw that post and was like "what..." But I know how it is, being on pins and needles for your favorite fighters. You tend to see the flaws and potential trouble that other fighters could present more than most, just because you have more invested into it than others. Guillermo is the truth though. You always have great posts though homie.lol Well, not exactly. lmao Indeed, I try to be levelheaded. That's my personality. I love my peeps, but I cannot stand irrational nationalistic fervor from anyone. I lose respect for opinions when they start to come from that angle. But tonight I feel especially good because one of our best (perhaps the best) among our fighters took another step in proving that the Cuban school of boxing is for real. Guillermo showed that all those Cubans that have won Olympic gold weren't just good amateur boxers, they were deprived of a real chance at professional glory.
Que viva Cuba, carajo!Comment
