Super middleweight "Bad" Chad Dawson scored an eleventh round TKO over Ian "The Cobra" Gardner (19-2, 7 KOs) Friday night at the Greater New Haven Athletic Center in New Haven, Connecticut. It was a methodical performance for Dawson, who dropped the awkward Gardner in round eight, then put him on the deck three times in the eleventh. The bout was halted by Michael Ortega at 1:12. With the win, Dawson won the NABO 168lb belt and earned a spot on the December 10 Winky Wright-Sam Soliman card at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, CT.

I know a few (few) people here were following Gardner,Im kinda glad it happened,I didnt like his ass
I just think he was generating some undue hype, amongst certain crowds anyways.I didnt see the fight though so maybe Im missjudging.
Chad Dawson looks like a good prospect(havent seen him fight) But as much as i didnt like gardner,he has a tricky awkward style, flawed, but elusive, and it's to Dawsons credit that he won.I'll keep an eye on him i think. his record stands at W 20 (14 ko's) | L 0 | D 0 | Total 20
Anybody seen him fight?
