WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KOs), who defends his title next month against Dereck Chisora, has announced that he plans to take part in the elections in Kiev, as he attempt, for the third time, to become the mayor of Kiev. Vitali is the leader of the UDAR politcal party, which came together in 2010. In 2006 he finished second, getting 23.7% of the votes, and two years later he came in third, and won only 18% of the vote. According to the recent political polls, Klitschko has a strong chance to be successful in the 2012 race.
