Cotto cannot box Pac even if he tries to, He cant fight going backwards and he is damage goods against anyone of the elite fighters, Cotto would be beaten worse in this rematch than the first fight, I know Cotto is an old school fighter in the way he doesnt complain or whine and i like him for that but when the fight comes around you would see that you have been looking at Cotto mainly because you are either PR or really really love Cotto.
Perfect example of a guy who doesn't know ****. Cotto just boxed going backwards against Margarito... WTF are you even talking about saying he can't? You do realize Cotto had just as long as an amateur career as Floyd right? Manny never did he has been a pro since he was 16, he didn't learn the boxing skills and TECHNIQUE that Cotto does have. You've obviously only seen Cotto Marg I and after. He's always been able to box, but once he lost his uncle as his trainer he completely regressed and by his own admission he fell in love with his power.

Its obvious Manny doesn't know how to cut off the ring or trap his opponents in the ropes as he showed against Marquez. Even by his own admission he likes guys who come at him, Cotto won't be doing that this time. Its called a gameplan and Cotto is a versatile enough fighter to do it. Bradley a better all around fighter than Cotto.. BWAHAHAHA!!!! That's possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read on these forums, saying a guy who lunges in with his head is a better technical fighter than Cotto.

We shall see come June if this is true. I think Cotto will be way better then he was in the first fight. To say a guy like Cotto will get beat worse just doesn't make any sense to me. Since that fight Cotto has grown more and made adjustments working with Steward and Diaz. In there first fight Cotto made the mistake of just standing there and trading shots with Manny which was ****** on his part. Manny just doesn't really impress me. He's looked ****ty in a couple of his last fights. We shall see what happends come fight night.

I believe Cotto is better now than he was the first time. Weight and lack of a quality trainer were big factors. He probably shoulda lost the fight he had before vs. Clottey. He wasn't looking good going into that fight. He seems to be better now. Although maybe thats because the quality of his opponents haven't been very good. But I give him a better chance this time. I think having Margarito removed from his mind helps.

Personally I think Cotto still takes a beating if he were to fight Pacquiao. But its safe to say he's made many adjustments to his game that would allow him to hear the final bell in this fight. Cotto doesn't get stopped this time around but he still gets embarrassed. Pacquiao is just too fast, too strong and definitely too quick for Cotto. This fight is completely pointless and it will be perceived as a massive duck by Pac's team if it were to ever happen. Bob Arum thinks the public is ****** and by a wide margin he is right but hardcore boxing fans know what's up and they will let Top Rank know how they feel in due time.

I would love that fight but Canelo's camp is not that ******. I like Canelo but have been disappointed in his last fights and he's just too young/raw for Cotto, even at this stage of his career. Don't get me wrong, the fight would be really good, but its too much risk for Canelo at this point. Too bad.

Cotto just said via Twitter, 'Don't pay attention to the rumors, nothing is official yet'. I think he's keeping his Floyd option open.

Floyd and Pac won JM belts and Martinez was a Jr Middle Weight champion. He got stripped so Pac could win his 8th title at a catch weight against a non ranked fighter. Pac is probably about to fight Cotto at 150 where he said he wouldn't fight Martinez. I want Martinez to clear up MW. Better for him anyway. I think his promoters and adviser got to ahead of themselves. Should have kept Martinez fighting against good ranked fighters looking impressive.
