2 belts, add to your legacy, make a **** ton of money in Mexico fighting someone who's hot in the boxing public's eye right now." Also anyone can win a belt if you have the right connections... hence Canelo and JCC jr.

I dont see as much upside to this fight as others which are available to him.

cool..Juan is on that "last of a dying breed" level.....the REAL fight fans know he's held it down big time....mucho ****in respect to that dude.....on top of that, this would be a VERY VERY good fight!!!....this would be my choice as a replacement fight for that May-Pac ****....if those 2 dudes(May and Pac) don't wanna break their nails or some other diva type mess and not make the fight happen...I prefer they BOTH retire....this Marquez-Lamont fight should take its place and be on May 5th ....yea, thats how it SHOULD be!!

Marquez I think is better off fighting Morales, instead of fighting Lamont, if he wants to fight Pacquiao again in the future.
I think this is a really tough fight for Marquez. Peterson is a big jww, who knows how to use his size and is smart enough to adapt to his opponent. That being said he is not a huge puncher and he is there to be hit. I think that Marquez showed both against May and Pac that he may not be a huge puncher above 135 but he is accurate enough and hits hard enough to make guys be hesitant. If Marquez makes Peterson freeze up and starts landing combinations he can win.

I like this match up its a classic in the making if these two guys fight each other one of the best fights that can be made at 140 or Rios vs Peterson would also be a good fight to at 140.
