I think Ramos wins a unanimous decision, I believe he will startle Rigondeaux with fast, hard combinations early and Guillermo will go into a shell to avoid getting caught. If styles make fights, this could get boring fast unless Rigondeaux feels confident enough to exchange regularly. IMO

I voted Rigo by UD, but I wouldn't be surprised if he KOed Ramos. It all depends on which "El Chacal" shows up tonight. Will it be the guy that nearly put us to sleep versus Ricardo Cordoba? Or the terror that annihilated Willie Casey? We'll soon see....

Yeah thats why I had such a hard time voting because he could either come out strong and KO early or fall back and shell up... I think it really just depends on Ramos' actions in the first 3-4 rounds if he can show confidence and a little head movement Rigondeaux will be discouraged and most likely unwilling to fight often.,

I would never favor a man who wears a lip ring. Never.

Rigondeaux by late KO. Rico Suave will be confused as hell

I'm more familiar with Rigo than with Ramos. Rigondeaux is a counter-puncher by nature. I've heard the same thing about Rico, which is why many here are concerned it's going to be a boring match-up. Under normal circumstances I would tend to agree, but Rigo really seemed to want to make up for the Cordoba fight against Casey.

I've read that Guillermo was talked to about his lackluster performance against "Maestrito" and I don't doubt it. I don't see why some of that can't carry over into the Ramos fight. On the other hand, Rico has shown that he can be a tough customer. Bottom line: I think this fight is going to surprise a lot of people and wind up being pretty entertaining.

I think Rigo will score a UD, but I wouldn't be surprised if he knocked him out somewhere between the 7-10. Even if Rigo doesn't come out aggressive, I can't see him getting outboxed.

Interesting that you bring up height. These guys are listed at just a half-inch difference, with Rico being taller. In the photos I've seen, Ramos seems much taller than Rigo. Maybe there's an explanation for that...I don't know. Regardless, I don't see height being an issue at all.

yeah ive put money on Rigondeaux to win. On boxrec they are listed as the same height. Watching the weight in got me worried. Think Rigondeaux style is not effective against much taller fighters. Hope im wrong
