World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver lightweight champion Alejandro Sanabria (30-1-1, 23 KOs) is on the verge of a title shot. On the 28th of this month he battles Filipino Balweg ****oyan (17-4, 7 KOs) at the Grupo Modelo Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Gymnasium in Chihuahua, Mexico. The fight will be broadcaset by Televisa Deportes. Sanabria is putting on the pressure to face the full WBC champion Antonio DeMarco. Reginaldo and Osvaldo Kuchle, who promote Sanabria, have reached out to DeMarco's promoter Gary Shaw - and they are tring to set up a fight in the coming months.
