Now that Maidana is going to be fighting @ 147, what are the chances of this fight being made this year.

Maidana has almost no boxing skills what so ever. What he does have is a granite chin, decent punch, and a never say die attitude. While thats enough to get by an ancient Erik Morales, that ain't enough to compete with any of the world class welterweights including Berto. Fight might happen, but its a long shot.

if both guys win i have a feeling itll happen. If both guys loose, it'll happen, but prob after they each have one easy fight first. If one of them wins, other looses probably wont happen. Lets hope they both win though, then we will have an awesome rematch between these two!

I dont know why i just dont see the move the 147 helping Maidana.I actually see it helping Devon more so i dont even think he gets to Vic who would also beat Marcos. Was Maidana struggling to make 147 does anyone know?

Thats something ive always wondered it says boxrec he is 5''9 but then HBO has him listed 5"7 and against Khan he did look 3 inches smaller.Ya Maidana seems the type who blows up outside the ring

I agree for the most part. I think Maidana is more of a threat @ 140, but I'm interested to see how Maidana looks @ 147 against Devon. Maidana has shown he can be out boxed pretty easily but he has no quit in him, and we all saw the exact opposite in Alexander against Bradley.
