i cant comprehend how the human brain doesnt understand this, and could still say roach is a better coach than roger. roach has one gameplan - throw lots of punches and hope the other guy cant retaliate, if that doesnt work, run around and hope for the judges to give u a gift

Being objective, I have to say Roach. While his fighters have problems adjusting he did train Manny to use his right much more. He also did make Amir Khan into a better fighter (not boxer, mind you). It's hard to say about Roger. Even when Floyd had that fight without Roger (due to Roger's suspension fighting Zab in the ring), Floyd didn't have any problems. Roger also rarely gives Floyd advice in between rounds because Floyd is so talented ("just keep doing what you're doing").

I'd say that Floyd Sr. is a better trainer than Roger AND Freddie though.

            Floyd Sr.
            Roger
            Freddie

            imo...

roger doesnt need to give floyd that much advice because floyd knows what to do, thanks to his dad, and thanks to roger.

If a trainer has to constantly remind his fighter what to do, then its very clear that the fighter is unprepared. Game plans are mastered in training camp!

I'd say they're both about the same when it comes to giving out simple advises to their fighters. Difference is, Roger's fighter is smart enough to figure some things out on his own while Roach's fighters aren't.

Why do you think that is? Someone has taught Mayweather how to think on his own. It came from great coaching.

they both are good but ill give it to roger, roach needs to teach his 2 top fighters to fight on the inside and defend the uppercut, cut off the ring better and not make so many technical rookie errors
