While that's great long term it could lead to drama between Pac and Arum.....which would make it impossible to do the fight May 5th.

How can this be viewed as anything less than progressive. Sure, Manny could have been calling him about a November showdown, but nevertheless they spoke to each other which is a good sign. Did anyone else read about Mayweather mentioning in an interview that him and Pacquiao spoke some time back about getting the fight signed.

This might be a stretch but I would not be suprised if the fight got made against Arums wishes. Wouldnt that be the ultimate insult if Arum was the one who was cut out of the megafight?! Wishful thinking, but not impossible if there was enough for Manny to profit
