He needs to show this fighter that there is a big difference between where he came from and where he is now. Ramos in 11. Rigo aint ready for the tough fights and the deep waters of the pros.
There have been two Cubans that have won three Olympic gold medals: Teofilo Stevenson and Felix Savon, both heavyweights. The reason why these men have competed so many times in the games is because they were/are unable to leave their homeland freely.

Cuba is a communist country where you can't simply leave when and where you want to. It amazes me how many people are unaware of this. Guys like Rigondeaux, Gamboa, Lara and others risked their lives and limited freedom to escape (defect) to the United States. Here in the States, we tend to take our liberty for granted. Freedom is a precious gift.

I don't know about that, Southpaw. Rigo hits pretty hard, and he's murderous to the body. The fight is tomorrow night. We'll see soon enough what's what.

Waiting far too long for this thing! I'm convinced that I wouldn't have been so hyped if the fight had come off as planned the first time! lol And I agree, the winner deserves props.

Lol exactly, how can people not know that in Cuba you just can't "go pro" ... All the cuban guys who were great at Olympic games and want to go pro in boxing or baseball or any sport in which Cuba is good have to leave their country to never return again.

someone told me cubans couldnt go pro unless the defected the country, i am not sure if the person that told me so was lying but if he wasnt that may be the reason why
