Steroids make you take a punch better??

Anyone used steroids before? If you have do you agree with Kerr?

I do know there are all types of roids out there but I always thought that was a bull**** statement....but after watching the documentary (Smashing Machine) of MMA fighter Mark Kerr I think I have to change my mind. Using roids took his fear away and he didn't feel much pain and he could get hit pretty damn hard and just keep going on.

Go to 15:30-16.10 and watch Kerr inject himself and talk about steroids.

        for a weight class boxer:

        i tend to doubt it

for somebody who can put on a bunch of weight:
        of course they do

you guys ever gained weight before?

of course you can take a better shot if you are bigger
        of course
the answer is of course they do

i'm not saying they would help a boxer neccessarily
i'm saying that being heavier helps you absorb punches

You are right that being heavier would help you absorb punches, but AS would even help weight class boxers as well. The stronger and harder the muscle, the more impact it will be able to absorb without being damaged. You could use very androgenic compounds(masteron, Tren, even winstrol) which will make the muscles as hard as a rock, without much water retention and still not gain a lot of weight, if u have the right diet.

Also, steroids can strengthen the muscles in your neck faster and stronger than they normally would be. This can help when taking punches to the chin and head.

Roids wont necessarily improve your boxing skills, but your confidence to take shots and land harder shots.

Kerr - although obviously a massive juicer - also had an addiction to painkillers and it was those that the insulin needles were for.

Previous points about heavier body weight possibly allowing a fighter to absorb punches better are relevant but that's probably only going to apply to heavyweights that are able to add the weight, as a lighter fighter adding weight is going to go into a heavier weight and fight bigger guys!

Yes roids make you take harder shots.

If you notice a guy get hurt during a fight eg break a bone, dislocate a joint and not even notice then chances they're on the juice.

Ask Shannon Briggs.. he's living testament to it. He nearly got killed as his hard steroid infested head got pummeled for 12 rds by Vitali (Dr. Ironfist) Klitschko.....when you're injecting or popping.. you think you can walk through a wall. The fact that Briggs corner knew that under no circumstances did he want to be a KLITSCHKO KO victim after talking all that shet about them.. let's just say he's lucky he's not dead.. some of the shots in slow motion clearly show BRIGGS head being spun like a bobblehead doll.. After awhile Vitali was getting peeved at BRIGGS because he knew the type of damage he was doing to an ex fishing buddy. Steroids graduates a semi glass jaw to a rock granite one overnight.. no doubt in my mind. No one survives punches like that from Vitali for 36 minutes unless he's taking supernatural stimulants.
