I really don't believe this because Golden Boy has promoted Mayweather's last 5 fights (including the fight against Oscar). Everyone knows Floyd's close ties with Golden Boy and the only time they are at odds is when Floyd is fighting one of their fighters. Floyd always mention Schaffer and Hayman as his people, so I really don't understand why Bob says he didn't know. I know that Mayweather has his own little promotional company, but to me, it almost seems as if Golden Boy is his promoter, its just not official (with a contract). I take it that floyd does not like to be obligated to anyone...No boxing organization (IBF, WBA, etc.), no television stations (HBO, Showtime), and no promoters.

With that said, make the fight happen because the world wants to see it. I'm not sure if i will make the trip to Las Vegas to see the fight live, but I will definitely see on tv, whether its my tv, someone else's tv, or at a local bar & grill. I'm hoping they play it at the movie theater, because I'll watch it there on one of their big screens.

At least Arum and the rest of the world can no longer complain about Mayweather's guarantee. Mayweather just indicated that he has his guarantee. So the money part is not an issue as Mayweather said and Arum already guaranteed Pac's money. They need to just sign to fight for May 5th.

His boxing license is NOT suspended and he's NEVER had a promoters license. And no one's saying Floyd has a contract with GBP. You're literally fighting off the answers you're claiming to be looking for.

I get the general purpose, but I have a hard time arguing why Floyd fights should be boycotted.

Fandom and all the other crap out the window- he's been showing us just how much he wants to fight Manny, and in years past, every time the fight fell through, Floyd always fights the next best opponent. Love him or hate him, Pacquiao can't say the same.

Bob knows how to make a fight. He's been doing it long before Mayweather was and Pac where born. If ANYONE can make or break this fight it is Bob Arum. The problem is, he has an agenda and Mayweather is not on it.

Anyone that thinks Bob Arum can't make a fight is a ***ing idiot. The man has been making fights for decades. NO fighter will stop Bob Arum from making a fight. Nobody stops Bob Arum but Bob Arum himself.
