im with arum on here, an outside venue would make the event even more interesting, im tired of the same old MGM anyway..i would have em fight at cowboys stadium instead, give more people a chance at being there. why can't floyd wait a couple weeks for the end of May ?..me personally i dont care when they fight, i would watch it legally or illegally but theres alot of folks that would love to be there and arum's plans gives them a chance.
You are right on the mark here. Also, Mayweather doesn't like to fight away from Las Vegas. It may have to do with that steroid he puts into his hands, which is illegal everywhere but Nevada. His last 7 fights over the past 6 years have all been in Las Vegas.

Mayweather's got a June 1st jail date, so late May is out of the question cos if he sustains any injury in the fight, he would need time to treat before going off to jail. So, Bob "Azzhole" Arum, stop being mutha ***ing difficult! May 5th is a good date for all, make the damn fight already!

Arum is not that ******...just tunnel visioned

If there is one thing in life that no human can have enough of is money! Greed is a human quality we all have to deal with. Arum is human and add to that he's a lawyer so that makes him extra greedy. He wants that extra 40 million and doesn't understand how no one else can see the angle; the problem for him is they don't see it and they don't give a siht. Oscar isn't ****** but he's not smarter than Arum that's for sure. However, what Arum doesn't seem to grasp (because all he sees are $ signs) and Oscar does (I think) is that without Mayweather the extra 40 million is a none issue. Last time I checked 0 from 0 is, wait for it...a big fat ZERO and when I checked that I also saw that it still takes two to make a fight. No one is going to fill up that new arena for the foreseeable future unless it's Manny v. Floyd. But if Floyd tells him to go self fornicate after the 5th of May then this fight may not ever happen. So then what good is waiting for a big arena if you can't fill it? Floyd is getting older and he knows it and Manny wants to be president; there is only so much time during the day and in life period; this fight really can get away from them and never pop off. The way I look at it, Arum needs to count his lucky stars and take what he can get. What's he afraid of? Manny losing? Even if he does (I think he will) he is still gonna be a cash cow for a few more years at least.

Biz wise top rank is right oscar & floyd seem to be pushing may 5 just because it's booked at the mgm, this has to be a ploy to score macho points, you can't beat more rev and cheaper prices vs a few weeks difference.

              STOP ALL THE CRAP!
              JUST MAKE THIS FIGHT HAPPEN!

Both sides are right... Arum's idea is good and so is Oscar...
If you put 24K more in the house, you'll get more money at the gates but at the same time you'll loss more from PPV...
Arum has a noble cause to say it will be fan-friendly...
But from business side I think the profit is just the same

The ideal venue should have been Dallas Cowboys Statium...
I'm sure it can fill out every 100K SEATS...

But we know that can't happen because everyone involved is married to LAS VEGAS...

The more you have at the venue the more you make. You will not lose on PPV because of this. More is paid per person to see it live, even at the cheap seats vs. those same people paying for the PPV.

and he still cant answer what arum has been asking " whos gonna gurantee floyd's purse?....
don't be ******....who has been guaranteeing. Floyds purses. I think Team May know what need to be done, afterall Floyds guaranteeds have been 3-4 times bigger than pacquiaos

That is not necessarily true. Pacquiao vs Clottey/Margarito in Dallas didnt gross more at the gate than Floyd vs Mosley/Ortiz
