I used to be the biggest Pac fan around. It was bad enough takin fights against washed up fighters like Mosely and Margarito for a b.s. belt, but this is enough. step up and TELL ARUM TO MAKE THE FIGHT FOR MAY 5!

What I DONT like about this article and others is how Arum always has to have the last word!! This is the pinnacle of where arguments on both sides will end and Arum will finally sink himself and Pac or put aside his ego and make the superfight.

YES! Pac himself said he could fight May 5 a few days back so he needs to step up! I have seen good arguments on both sides up till the last 3 months but Arum has screwed everything up since.

why are people bashing arum, he has a point damn.. this is probably the biggest event boxing will hold ever, so why not make it the richest.. DLH says arum is greedy but then says jack up the ticket prices and PPV as well, thats more of a greedy pig to me.. that means if u not a hollywood star u wont be in the arena and regular folks are not paying 80-90 bucks for a fight regardless how big, people will just flock the sports bars or online illegal streams . .

im with arum on here, an outside venue would make the event even more interesting, im tired of the same old MGM anyway..i would have em fight at cowboys stadium instead, give more people a chance at being there. why can't floyd wait a couple weeks for the end of May ?..me personally i dont care when they fight, i would watch it legally or illegally but theres alot of folks that would love to be there and arum's plans gives them a chance.

Is it just obvious to me?? Mayweather clearly has some kind of deal going on with MGM were he promised them to stage the fight there. This is why hes not budging. This fight clearly belongs in a stadium or similiar type of location so that more people can attend.. **** the high ticket prices. Typical DelaHoya

Maybe Uncle Bob has been doing so many in house fights and manipulating things to his benefit that he forgot how to do business with others.

I don't care for Oscar lately but he is a promoter now and he is saying there is enough money for May 5th which there CLEARLY is enough money!!!! Higher ticket costs and everyone gets rich! Arum needs to make the damn fight May 5th!!
It's barely 2 months since the Cotto fight. The cut is still not healed and according to all the reports, cuts vary in healing time according to the person. But benerally a cut to the bone, which needs 3 layers of stitches would take up to 6 months to properly heal so that it doesn't scar or re-open again when hit. It was serious cut.

Today, Arum's comments just weren't about the cut. But we know he feels that by the end of May, including sparring time, MannyP will just be able to get in an 8 week training camp. He's the expert, he knows.

Everything in this business is precarious until it's done, and the end of May is barely enough time. Pacquiao's doctor said he can't spar until beginning of April minimum, and later is better.

About Mayweather's guarantee, if Mayweather signed a paper saying he guaranteed his own purse, that would suit Arum. Or if Golden Balls did, but I think they wouldn't. Such huge money, no "slipups" are wanted. And don't forget Mayweather has been talking in telephone numbers, and being so unreliable, he could change his mind at the last minute.

Arum is right about keeping the price lower for more people, instead of charging so much extra. Oscar is just trying to make PR for Golden Balls with this. Very ungrateful, when Arum just let him off the hook on the defamation case.
