Comments Thread For: Humberto Soto's Return Being Targeted For a March Date

Former champion Humberto Soto (57-7-2, 34KOs) is going to return in the month of March, according to his manager Antonio Lozada. Lozada states that Soto is possibly going to be match against a high ranked opponent on a Golden Boy Promotions card, but if that doesn't happen, then Soto will return on a Baja Boxing card on March 21 in Cancun, Mexico. Soto wants a shot at WBC junior welterweight champion Erik Morales, who faces Danny Garcia on March 24 and then has to defend his title against mandatory challenger Olusegun Ajose. Soto will train at the Otomi Ceremonial Center.

wanna bet Soto fights another bum.

Soto has a lot of talent but is always fighting bum instead of the top guys. Rios was calling him out all day and Soto ducked him. if Soto is fighting bums for easy paychecks that's cool but I wish he'd take a step up

Steve Kim just posted this on Twitter :

I'm told that a bout between Lucas Matthysse and Humberto Soto is a possibility by Eric Gomez of Golden Boy. I like that fight a lot

Soto needs 2 shut up & fight///Morales has Garcia & then maybe erik, leaving soto 3rd man out...Maythese would be interesting as he has some talent, more than Maidana , & could be a future bout & IMO Soto 2 have problems fighting bigger guys @ 140...

I'm not calling Soto a bum, but he does fight bum.

he did duck Rios and that's a fact. Arum wanted that fight but Soto said he needed time to recover from the Antillon fight. I think he said something like April but ended up fight Munoz in March. it was a duck

being a 3 divison champ means absolutely nothing anymore. those were all WBC belts which aren't worth the material used to make them.

I think Soto is good but all he does is fight cab drivers in Mexico. he needs to step it up and actually fight real contenders

LOL well Pacquiao didn't want to fight Soto.

Rios is just a b class fighter, who fights b class or c class fighters.
