So if they can ONLY fight in November - why can't they sign the fight NOW and take tuneups against lesser guys in May and June??? Many big fights have been signed before tuneup fights contingent on both guys winning. Why can't they sign for November????? If they sing for then, I doub't anyone here would complain about waiting as long as we all know the fight is signed.

Because Mayweather knows damned well that MannyP can't start sparring before April, and that the fight would only be 3 1/2 months away, even if everything including the impossible negotiations were settled in a week ( 2 months more likely) and there is 24/7 for 14 cities, not too mention the stadium to be built costing over $5 mill. Although prefabricated, it would still take a couple of months to put up.

Arum is rarely wrong on these things, and he is tops as a promoter. Anything he promotes makes tons of money for the main fighters, and the undercard get better purses and prestige also.

We need something other than hearsay. It has been nearly a week since Mayweather tweeted but he hasn't said a single thing since. I believe a lot of what Mayweather says it true - WAY MORE than what Arum says so I am hoping we hear from Mayweather. We need a good reason why Pac can't fight May 5 or why Mayweather can't fight late May.
