BoxingScene.com recently spoke with up rising featherweight prospect Orlandito Del Valle (14-0). The fighter of Puerto Rican descent went 3-0 in 2011 and is scheduled to return to the ring on January 21st at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. He is set to face Jose Angel Beranza (36-21) of Mexico. Beranza may not have a pretty record but he is coming off of a big upset win over the previously undefeated Christopher Martin this past October. He also has given Puerto Rican prospects Juan Carlos Velasquez and Jesus Rojas the first losses of his careers. [Click Here To Read More]

Damn, top prank really wants to punish Beranza for beating those prospects, lol he's a bantam weight fighter and they bring him up in weight again.
Rooting for Beranza just on the fact he's *****g Top Prank to shame and getting paid for it.Comment

Eversince his pro debut i knew he was going to have to take the Beransa test at some point. Hes well known in Puerto Rico having beat several local prospects including olimpian Velazquez. Hes gone the distance with Johnny Gonzalez, Vazquez jr, Jonathan Oquendo, Rigondeaux (TD), and lots of serious punchers. No shame in going the distance with the guy but if the stoppage comes it would be a statement indeed. Hopefully 2012 starts with a **** and is the breakout year!Comment

Well the stoppage didnt come. Beranza was in great shape
But a near shutout isnt bad at all. 80-72, 78-74, 79-73 Hopefully he gets a tv date next. I like the idea of him vs either Martin or Kennedy next!Last edited by Onekrazyrican; 01-22-2012, 12:20 AM.Comment
