If the fight of Mayweather/Pacquiao do not materialize, no doubt Cotto is the best selection for either fighter the rest do not bring money to the table now at this very moment. they are very good fighters, but for the business of boxing where money play a huge roll, this is not the time to bring somebody else, martinez is no yet a big atraction, canelo not yet, he will be soon but not yet. Mosley no way, margarito Jamas(never). then the honest question is, Who? Got to be Miguel Cotto. Canelo/ Mayweather is a third class fight, lets be realistic. i ask 60 people about this, 94 % said Cotto 3% said canelo and 3% said Martinez, that show the reality of the question.

I agree, a Pacquiao-Cotto rematch was unappealing to me the second I heard murmurs about the fight, that will be a definite stream fight for me if it comes around.

Who do you think Cotto would rather fight? I could see him wanting both fights. With Mayweather, he has a chance at a huge payday, but has nearly no chance at victory, unless he catches him early and often which might as well be impossible at this point. After seeing Cotto's sharpness in his rematch with Margarito, I think he could outpoint Pacquiao or even force a stoppage. He was connecting solidly with hard punches, and letting two or three punches go everytime he could get them out. I know Margarito isn't the same caliber as Manny, but I still think it would be the same style of fight, something Cotto would have a much better chance of winning.

Cotto already got beat down by one, and will be labeled a past prime leftover for the other.

Cotto's a bad fight for either. I'd rather Mayweather just go to jail than fight Cotto or Alvarez. And Pac should fight Bradley.
