The listed opponent is Filipino contender Jimrex Jaca (34-6, 19KOs). According to several reports, Mexican veteran Chamaco Ortiz (80-32-7, 52KOs) told media members that he plans to board a plane to Argentina, where he claims to have signed a contract to face Matthysse. The hard puncher from Buenos Aires was scheduled to fight Erik Morales last September, but he fell ill and withdrew from the fight. He returned in December and knocked out Sergio Priotti in four rounds.
