from gbp and tr perspective late may is better than may 5th for pac vs may

Personally I dont care if they fight on Thursday in a cave in the himalayas as long as they fight. however, from a promoters standpoint im sure they would rather have their Mexican fighters fight on Cinco de mayo and have pacquiao vs mayweather on may 26th, the saturday before memorial day weekend. With most Americans having Monday the 28th off, more people will travel to Vegas and stay longer.

Nah man, the thing to do would be stack the undercard with Mexican fighters, as they have in the past. Toss Canelo, Rios, and the recently-ordered Linares-Demarco II on the undercard and you'd have a great night of Mexican boxing

You said the reason why it shouldn't be on May 26th. Since people are traveling, they will be away from their homes. Which means there will be less PPV buys overall.

As a consumer and a fight fan that would be awesome. Pac and may could have bums swordfighting with sticks and garbage can lids and everyone - boxing and casual fans - would still order it. A stacked Mexican card on its own will attract boxing fans and maybe casual fans. the two are strong enough to stand alone and i think most boxing fans would buy twice if they were held on separate weekends.

to the point that travel will decrease ppv buys I disagree. The difference; if any, would be negligible. People that want to see the fight will find a way whether that's going to a bar, movie theater, or talking ur father in law into ordering if he isn't already. further, more ppl in Vegas will drive up ticket prices. Ppl stay longer, people buy more merchandise.
