That will never happen. Floyd fans and Pac fans need to admit that both Manny and Floyd will never fight Sergio Martinez.

IMO, it's a natural progression, as Martinez is considered to be better than Canelo and Cotto. Fight one of them first to get your feet wet at 154, and then challenge Martinez at 154. For all the people talkin B.S., Martinez CAN make 154, and Floyd would get credit for that victory. If the fight takes place at 150, that's a different story.

Honestly, I don't buy into the "Floyd can't make 154", hell I bet he can make a healthy 159-160 if he doesn't train AS much as he does now, cuz supposedly he's a gym rat. The thing is, there needs to be an incentive for him to go that far up, and what better incentive could there be than to fight Martinez who is the lineal MW champ, and could potentially be an easy task for Floyd. Martinez at 154/160 is the only fight where Floyd would not be the clear favorite, he might even be considered the underdog at 160. Of course he wouldn't fight the exact same fight at 154 and 160 that he would at 147, but these kinds of fights just enhance his legacy, win or lose. Or, he could work out something with Sergio that says he can't rehydrate past a certain weight. Now saying that, do I expect Floyd to fight Martinez? No, but IF he gets past the likes of Cotto/Canelo/Pac/Bradley/Khan, it's either retire or fight Martinez. Natural progression.

Floyd is too busy playing hardball with Team Pac, but I think he needs to let that one go for now, and revisit that later when Pac is ready to fight.

I dissagree...I think Floyd will fight him before he retires, cuz he said, "Sergio cant hit me with all them wild ass shots"..If he feels like he can beat him easy, and everyone is saying the fight is so dangerous, knowing Floyd he will want to prove a point...but as of right NOW....Floyd JUST got the wbc ww belt...I think he wants to defend his title a few times, and Sergio might be his last fight...now pac fighting sergio...U have to take that up with bob arum..lol
