Comments Thread For: Robert Stieglitz is Ready To Fight With Arthur Abraham

WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (41-2, 23 KOs) would not have a problem with fighting Arthur Abraham (33-3, 26 KOs) next. The two boxers co-headlined a show on Saturday night in Offenburg, Germany. In the co-feature, Stieglitz won a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Henry Weber (15-1-1, 3 KOs). The scores were 116-112, 118-110 and 119-109. And in the main event Abraham stopped Pablo Farias (19-2, 11 KOs) in the fifth round to capture the WBO's European title at super middleweight.

I think the question here is can he even make 160? Personally, I have a hard time seeing that happen.

That was the plan to move down to 160. He just can't make the weight healthy. And, he's in a size and style disadvantage at 168.

He can fight and probably still beat the likes of Stieglitz. But, he won't be able to hang with any fighter at a higher level than that at 168.

                Its in april.

There's some speculation that Abraham takes Kesslers slot while the dane guns for a Ward rematch.

No way Kessler is going straight for Ward.

If there is speculation it is strictly a media ploy to make it appear that Kessler isn't simply gunning for Stieglitz's paper title which carries no weight at 168.

Kessler has been inactive and injured and certainly isn't going to come to the US to fight Ward.

No amount of money from the crooked Sauerland bastards will entice Ward to Denmark either. He'd get robbed blind. Sauerland lost their asses on the Super 6 and looked like ******s for sending their 2 best fighters to get embarrassed by green Americans with 0 world title fights between them. They'd be looking to recoup their losses at any cost and it would probably be the same judges who did Helenius-Chisora but paid double by Sauerland to guarantee the same garbage scorecards.

Stieglitz is better than given credit for and has improved since his loss to Andrade who was a beast at the time.

AA is a club fighter with a big punch who would be easily schooled by Robert.
