  • Is Maidana vs Alexander a 10 rd fight?

It better not be. I know Alexander doesn't duck no one and always fights difficult fighters, but come on man. First the Matthysse fight then this being 10 rds. That totally favors him, plus with the fight in his home town, like what a ***** if this is true. This is a main event HBO event, def should be 12 rds.

It's 12 rounds according to ESPN's boxing schedule and that's normally up to date.

It's unlikely, but it is a winnable fight for Maidana. I'm really looking forward to it. Matthyse won the fight against Devon and got robbed IMO, but Maidana isn't coming out to win a decision. Hopefully he's well conditioned and ready to steamroll somebody.

al haymon negotiated with hbo and they reached an agreement. hbo wanted 12 rounds and haymon wanted 4 so they settled on 8 and no judges. if the fight goes the distance alexander wins.
