The Philippine Star reports that WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao has selected his next opponent - if a deal can't be reached with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao and his promoter, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, sat down yesterday and the veteran promoter saidthe meeting took 30 minutes. There were four choices on the table - WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto, WBO junior welterweight champion Tim Bradley and IBF/WBA 140-pound champion Lamont Peterson. Arum would not disclose the name of the opponent.

We all knew this would happen. And YES, Mayweather is out of the question now. No chance of this fight happening. They want him to fight, then go to jail practically the next day. What a joke.

Im right there with you bro! Its either floyd on may 5 or we'll be watching it on live stream, youtube(30 mins after the fight), someone will put it on the internet sooner or later, or hbo the following week! And this is coming from someone that buy ppv.

If you start doing your research the day or night of the fight you can watch it live and not have to wait. It may not feature Lampley and the rest at HBO..but that's not a big deal these days either, imo...the way Lampley's bias towards Pac.

And for the record, I'm not cheap, nor poor, and I have probably purchased 7 or so PPV's over the last 3 years or so...and in HD to boot.

If I was Cotto or Marquez, or any other options for Pacquiao for that matter, I wouldn't even fight Manny Pacquiao. Unless they get the knockout, the winner is already pre-determined. Let's be real.
