Where is Arum getting an extra 40 million from?

Not to mention Puga, you can't even get the average ticket right.
You would calculate it by using (total$gross for all tickets) / (amount of tickets)
Not that it matters, but at least get it right.

Because the extra space is made out of "the bad seats". You can't just throw in extra seats close to the ring or floor as those spots are already accounted for.
Your argument is identical to trying to expand your house by pitching tents in the living room. It won't get you anymore space.
But the expensive tickets will be roughly the same as at MGM. We don't need an average of those.
Here, i painted you a picture since words can't seem to get through.
Okay, do you see the black rectangle? That would be the approximate area of the ring + ringside seats. You do understand now, that this space can't get larger, right?
Ok moving on.
Next you see the green colored lines. Those are the seats MGM currently can facilitate.
Now, how do we increase the amount of seats?
We would have to build sections higher up, and further back.
A raw approximation would be the pink colored lines. Those would be the "extra seats" added when building this stadium.
Do you now see how the excess 20-30k seats will be of the cheapest kind?
Sure there may be some VIP box here and there, but those sums are practically irrelevant in the full scope of things.
So no. We don't need an average ticket price to calculate the approximated income on these newly added seats. We can safely assume they will be mostly (almost exclusively) of the cheapest kind.
you are overthinking this man...the only problem here " is if the numbers that arum is thowring around as the potential extra earning is possible"...we are not com*****g the EXACT numbers since that would be impossible to find without knowing the ticket prices and the number of seats per ticket price....my computation was based on the minimum since it was the floyd vs hoya numbers...
and yes i am aware that the farther the seats are , the cheaper they get, so what?...it is irrelevant to the dicussion unless we know the , again, ticket prices and the numbers of seats per ticket price...
one thing is not impossible is to find if what arum is sayin is believable, and that does'nt take rocket science to find out...

you can question floyd's dumbass when talking about numbers coz he is not smart and he exaggrates a lot but not ****in bobfather, not the the bobfather, the man is genuies with numbers...Originally posted by puga View Postdo you realize that was a rough estimate based on what was given?...do you realize none of us know the details of the staduim?..do you realize none of us know the prices of the tickets if that fight ever happened...lots of things to consider but none of these is a factor that can negatively affect the revenue sales....Originally posted by puga View Postit made no sense to you coz you did not understand it, aint my fault you suck at math....basic math that is...why do you need to know the space when the number of seats are already known ( target 40 something k )..it aint rocket science to know what bob arum was sayin is very very possible...
do you know the purpose of getting the average?...so that we can roughly estimate the tciket price no matter where it is, that's the purpose since we dont know how many seats are there for each ticket price, you get it?...
Did you pass 3rd grade ? Again someone give puga a helmet before he hurts himself.

You want to find out how much the average ticket cost, right?
Your mistake was adding the ticket price sums and dividing it by the number of
intervals.
This gives you the answer of nothing basically. At least nothing as it relates to reality.
What you need to do is add all the money you made from selling tickets, and divide it by the amount of tickets sold.
I'll illustrate the difference with a very simple example.
Lets say we have 100 tickets to sell. 99 of them we sell for $1 and the last "VIP" ticket we sell for $99.
Your way:
We have two different ticket prices:
$1,
$99
You add them together and divide the sum by '2'.
$1 + $99 = $100 / 2 = $50.
The correct way of doing it:
We have 100 tickets.
We sell 99 of them for $1 and 1 of them for $99.
99*$1 = $99
1*$99 = $99
$99 + $99 = $198
Now we divide the sum by number of tickets.
$198 / 100 = $1.98 = Average ticket cost.
Was this clear enough Puga? Do you see the difference?

yes, you are right that the best way to compute the avearge ticket price is by dividing the total gross by the nuber of tickets sold....the probelm with that is that you dont know the TOTAL GROSS...thus, why you used a different numbesr instaed of the numbers given by the ts...
now, i dare you to use the same numbers as i did ( as did the ts) and see if your way of com*****g the average is possible....id love to see it...
