People continue to underestimate Ruiz. Ruiz is the most accomplished champ out there right now. He sucks to watch, but his crappy style would trump Tarver's any day of the week. You have to have great power or great boxing skills to beat Ruiz (Tua, Jones, Toney). Tarver has neither at heavyweight. He'd be outweighed a lot by Ruiz, who even though is past his prime, would be able to clinch and maul and lean on Tarver enough to possibly stop him late.

Tarver has slow feet and average handspeed. Ruiz wins.
