Comments Thread For: Saulaiman Jabs Marquez, Approves of Mayweather-Alvarez

Not sure how the WBC Prez thinks Mayweather could fight in September, October and even November may be pushing it. If he goes to jail on June 1 and stays full 90 days (which he may not) then that would be Sept 1 release. I am sure he would like to have alteast 3 months to prepare for the biggest fight of all time. I am sure the nutrition and training facilities in jail are not what he is used too.

Floyd's going to do 65 days, release date 1st week of August...re adjust, train, etc we're looking @ November @ the earliest...Canelo can wait & prob won't happen..2 much size difference but maybe Cotto, & Floyd will pick him apart...easy fight for FM...

          not interested

Like most boxing fans, I just have no interest is seeing Floyd fight Canelo. What would it proove.

Floyd would slip and slide all night and Canelo wouldn't hit him.

Canelo is big and strong, and he hits hard, but he lacks hands speed. He also doesn't throw combinations. He's basically a "1-2" fighter. His main attack is a short left jab (or hook) followed by a chopping right hand. After that, he has to set back up to rethrow punches. And that's where Floyd would catch him -- when Canelo is resetting after the 1-2.

Easy fight for Floyd, but in the realm of boxing history, it really doesn't show much.

seems Sulaiman is still bitter about being bashed on live TV by JMM for giving Canelo WBC Belt

Actually Canelo is a little too risky for Floyd imo, he's just coming off fighting someone 10 years younger and 15 pounds heavier than him as it is.. no need to follow that up by doing it again, besides what will that prove beating Canelo? He has more to lose than to gain from it, Floyd talks about having never taking any punishment, but if he keeps fighting guys 15-20 pounds heavier and 10+ yrs younger than him while in his mid-thirties then it will begin to take its toll, quick. Wear and tear is a biaotch, doesn't matter how good floyd is if he keeps going into fights were he's giving up a size youth and strength advantage just because he is experience than eventually he will lose...If may ain't fighting Pac he might as well just have an easy keep busy fight, Canelo is not one of those kind of fights regardless of his inexperience...

Let me get this right... they're trying to sell me on a fight that not even Ginger's handlers believe he can win solely because I'm Mexican?!?! Wow... I'm speachless...
