It does not in any way harm Floyd if the fight is scheduled on the last Saturday of May. But if it could give Pac some peace of mind, why not agree.
If Floyd will not bend but insists on May 5 or no fight, then he is killing the fight and he's ducking.

I could spend all day commenting about this interview, as, I am sure, dozens of *******s on this site have been doing since this was posted. However, I will make only a few points.

1. I find it interesting that, as much as the *******s claim to hate Ben Thompson, all of them visit his site daily to find quality articles and interviews like this, post them on this message board and then begin to launch a barrage of ignorant, delusional comments about Floyd.

2. Interesting comments that Floyd made about Michael Koncz claiming that he was in charge and Arum was crazy. Koncz obviously plays all sides like a typical scumbag. I also find it interesting that an investor showed up at Mayweather's house claiming to be in charge. Then, Arum makes a claim about Mayweather meeting with investors. It is obvious that Arum sent this person to talk to Mayweather so that Arum could have something to talk about.

3.Pac is bigger idiot than I thought he was. He bought Arum's BS about about building a stadium after buying the BS last month about the negotiations for a Mayweather fight being almost complete. This is a stadium that Arum never mentioned until the media called him out on all the lies and flip-flops he has done in the last few weeks, but Pac buy this crap and says he won't fight until late May because of this phantom stadium. Have any of the idiots on this site (idiots=*******s) thought about the fact that this alleged stadium (which Arum never had any intention of building) could have been build by now if Arum had negotiated a Pac/Mayweather fight in November after Pac fought Marquez. Instead, he refused to talk to anyone from Mayweather's camp. Then, two months after the Marquez fight, he uses the lack of time to build a stadium as an excuse for why Pac can't fight Mayweather on May 5.

4. I now believe that this fight will never take place. This was the perfect time to schedule it. Pac will lose to Marquez in their fourth fight (likely by KO). After that loss, the public will lose interest and Mayweather will have no interest in fighting him and Pac will lose out on a potential $30 million payday (I say $30 million instead of $60 million because that is all Arum would have paid Pac. Arum would have kept the other $30 million that should have gone to Pac for himself). After the loss to Marquez in their next fight, Arum will be ringing Al Haymon's phone off the hook just like Mosley did after turning down a Mayweather fight twice and then spending three years begging for a fight. Arum will try to secure a fight with Mayweather and he won't say a damn word about investors or building a stadium or any of the other excuses he has used thus far. Pacquaio also will beg Mayweather for a fight after he blows through the $6 to $10 million he will earn from his next fight with Marquez. However, it will be too late and the fight will not take place.

Promoters and managers do the negotiating, not fighters. Mayweather's promoter tried to contact Arum to begin negotiations in November 2011 and Arum said he was not interested in negotiating a Mayweather/Pac fight.
