But anyone else think maybe, just maybe, someone or group put this May 5th thing out there an hour ago in hopes the mainstream media, national and international, would pick it up by the morning and push Pacquiao into the corner so hard it'd be difficult for him to 'backtrack?'

yeah arum makes the decisions, Pac puts up token resistance ie "please let me fight floyd" before submitting to uncle Bob's wisdom. Freddie makes a few challenging statements calling out whoever before arum tells him to shut his hole and koncz spins the whole thing to make it seem like manny is actually in control and not just arum's *****.

Back on topic. To my point, I'm asking whether it's possible someone has doctored this story and spun it to say May 5, hoping it'll reach millions of people before Pacquiao's team can shoot it down. That way, it'd make it extremely difficult for Manny to 'backtrack' without damaging his credibility, which could push him closer to giving in.

The time, and the fact that it's on his official website seems odd. Koncz supposedly said it was wrong, you've got to figure his official site would've long known that and never posted it. Or they would've at least taken it down. Very sloppy:
