    is gamboa in his prime yet

    gamboa imo is the next biggest star in boxing, after the days of pac and floyd..... do you think he is in his physical prime yet.... or is he still green, in your opinion

      yep, he's prime.

      He wont ever be a big star though for some reason. Maybe cuz he doesn't really speak english, maybe cuz he's cuban. Who knows. He's fast, explosive, powefull, entertaining, pretty much everything you'd think boxing fans would want but again, for whatever reasons he wont ever be a huge star. A pretty good attraction, yes, but not a PPV type fighter (unless it's against a PPV fighter like pac, etc.).

        skill wise he has learned to not be so wreckless..but he is bout 30 and aint getting no younger

            Yeah, he's prime. These boxers with 200-300 amateur fights become prime fighters sooner than you think. For example Rigondeux has 8 pro fights? But he can hang in there with the top veterans and very capable of beating them.

            Then you see Andre Ward with like 18 fights in 2009, making it look easy against top class fighters who have 30-40 fights.
