they don't sound robotic so I think they MAY have specific notes of facts about the fighters in a specific fights and bring it up...but no I HIGHLY doube they read from promters or anything...I assume just notes and go with the flow...
    Lampley ?
No, he doesn't have a ton of boxing knowledge.

This is a man who in '92....selected Rid**** Bowe & Lennox Lewis as the #1 & #2 lb4lb best in the world.
Yeah....better than prime time Whitaker & Chavez..

I've noticed that Lampley also says things at times that give you the impression that he lets his emotions do the talking when speaking about certain fighters, he was pretty bad about it in the Wlad-Peter fight. I don't think he reads anything because I've seen him in interviews, both where he was interviewing someone else and where he was actually being interviewed, and he speaks that way seemingly all the time, probably even at home lol

I didn't mean "bad" literally, but a couple of times he kind of got caught up in the moment when Wlad was landing those jabs, and when he got caught with that first slapping hook and didn't go down or anything. He didn't say anything really bad, he just got excited, that's all.

Jim Lampley is just naturally articulate and very intelligent. These guys are professionals (Merchant and Lampley), so they know how to talk in front of a camera as they went to school for it and learned the trade.

Sell out because he has information or watches other sports? Manny I think you may be the only one on the forum who only likes boxing and no other sports. If you didn't know Lampley was an announcer for other sports prior to boxing. Although watching him on cheap seats is sort of funny...
