What style of boxing does Freddie Roach teach???

    What is his specialty???

For example if you train with mayweather they teach you there style of boxing which is an out-boxer who likes to counter-punch

Or another example is that training with Tony Pep he stresses lots of jabs teaching many forms of jabs, basicly a jabbing specailist which is truly effective personaly speaking...

Another example is that at ingles gym they teach switch hitting and changing stances, now this style maybe frowned upon by old school boxing but it works, they produced fighters such as naseem hamed, witter, rhodes etc... as well as amature boxers

For those who trained with roach, what kind of boxing does he teach exactly that makes him the most sought out trainer amongs boxers, mma fighters and celebarties???

I would say Freddie Roach is the antithesis of the textbook mexican trainer.

Where as textbook mexican boxing focuses on feet planted for power, guard high and tight, and jabbing your way in to throw combos on the inside...

Freddie roach stresses light on the balls of your feet, combos on the outside, and using angles to keep the opponent off balance.

and roach isnt really sought out by everyone....just by high motor high speed offense guys with fast hands.

Tyson, Pacquiao, Linares, Khan, etc.....the guys that roach has that dont fit that archetype usually dont fare very well.

I don't know offensive type trainer maybe. Not pressure fighters or defensive fighters. His guys can't cut of the ring & Amir makes a world of mistakes under pressure and Pacman has been spoonfed comforward stiffs. Actually IMO he's vastly overrated.

how so??? if anything the only 2 guys to really give him trouble are vastly underrated.

erik morales just this past year most people believe beat madaina who's in his prime and who's chances of victory you have to like against anyone currently in 140.

prime juan diaz couldnt stop marquez either.
