even though i'm a fan, i was disappointed by his performance against narvaez. lots of people said after the fight that it was narvaez's fault for covering up. imo, if donaire was really elite p4p material, he would've found a way to open him up or stop him. not saying donaire is hype or anything, but i just felt he could've done more in that bout instead of letting it go 12 rounds and then apologizing for a snoozer and then blaming narvaez for just showing up 'to pick up a paycheck'.
that said, donaire will land some bombs on vazquez. hopefully it's another sensational knockout by the filipino flash. looking forward to this card.

The difference is he is not a Prima Donna. It comes down to fighters willing to risk. Any fighter can insist, and force their management to fight the best. But some fighters do not have that confidence.

I was quite disappointed myself. Donaire is one of the best pound-for-pound, but he didn't show it against Narvaez--he seemed content to simply follow his opponent around the ring. The only justification for his poor showing that night is that perhaps he wanted a workout that night, and decided to not push too hard, and simply go the distance.
