Just as an additive... Vitali is in there to throw punches.. he wants his opponents to exchange with him... he gets visibly upset when they don't.. That's how hE knows he's in a fight. 3 Fighters as examples who did not come to exchange Byrd.. Johnson & Briggs all coincidentially are the 3 of the 5 Vitali failed to knockout. Lewis & Hoffman did engage & they get kudos for that.. although Lewis survived being stopped ONLY BECAUSE OF cuts endured on Klitschko's behalf. If we want to keep it real Hoffman is really the ONLY one not to be Ko'ed by Klitschko who earned it... well scratch that.. this was Klitschko straight from rotator cuff surgery rehab.. Bottom Line... you come to fight & Klitschko is 100% healthy... you get stopped.. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Yet he fought a month after the Byrd/Wlad fight. Are you telling me Wlad wouldn't have stepped aside and not made this fight had Vitaly wanted that?

Definitely Wlad would've stepped aside if Vitali would've wanted it. Vitali just had rotator cuff surgery & wasn't about to get in with the guy who helped cause & enhance the injury. He did get in there with an undefeated German prospect who was the same size as him... just goes to show you how concerned Vitali really was about his shoulder & why he stopped the fight with Byrd in the first place.
