Denver Cuello, represented by Canelo Promotions, will take part in a final eliminator with Mexico's Ganigan Lopez, to define official world championship contender contender for the minimumweight title of the World Boxing Council (WBC). This was announced by the World Boxing Council in a letter addressed the representatives of Lopez (# 1) and Cuello (# 2). If no deal is reached, a purse bid has been set for Feb. 3 in Mexico. The winner gets a shot at full champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan. Cuello (29-4-6, 19 KOs) will stake his silver title against Lopez (20-4, 14 KOs).

Cuello should be the mandatory challenger for Ioka. WBC always biased towards Mexican fighters. They know Denver is too dangerous for Ioka.

that's the purpse of the eliminator 2 decide who gets the shot...good bout ...as 4 Rodriguez, he's #7 and needs to move into top 5 , IMO, for consideration...

What I mean is they might as well just give him the title,Lopez is a bum. If they're looking to fight a Mexican they should fight Mario.

I understand you, & Lopez isn't a bum, but I do believe Cuello is better..
