How can you really justify a Mayweather vs Guerrero fight? That's not a diss to Guerrero because I like him as a fighter, but he's clearly not in the same stratosphere as Floyd. Just a ridiculous fight if you ask me.

guerrero has a story that HBO has latched on to.
he's also a safe southpaw opponent to help prepare floyd for a pacquiao fight.
it's certainly not the best fight out there, but larry merchant is ignorant or ****** if he doesnt see why it's a possibility.
personally i'd like to floyd tested phsyically
fight kirkland or canelo. those guys are monsters and will at least make for great TV
guerrero is a very skilled boxer, his style and size will only keep him from being totally outclassed, but it doesnt have a chance to keep him in the fight on the scorecardsComment

robert is actually a pretty good all around fighter, and might be a top p4p fighter in the future.
that being said, mayweather is on a different level at the moment.
the only fights he shud consider are what the casual fans want; pacman and the real boxing fans; sergio martinezComment

Everyone needs to stop hating, Guerrero deserves a big fight and he's the perfect opponent for Floyd because he's a southpaw. If Pacquiao vs Mayweather is on the horizon, then Mayweather should fight Guerrero period.Comment

Guerrero hasn't done anything above 135, this fight makes no sense.
Besides being a lefty I don't see any advantage fight him before PacComment

you build up the ***in fight during HBO 24/7
and oh by the way...HE IS FIGHTING MAYWEATHER...a Mayweather fight will PROMOTE ITSELF!
The disrespect of Robert Guerrero is PATHETIC! Just because you are not familiar with him does not mean it is not good
I have no problem with Guerrero getting his shot, my only problem is that it would be nice if he had at least a fight at 140 under his beltComment

Nobody is on Floyds stratosphere expect maybe Manny and that fight aint happening. So why hate on Guerrero, he's a great fighter. At least we know he'll give a better account of himself than Ortiz.Comment
