That it was a close, exciting, fight between two good boxers that could have gone either way???

GBP and Khan never had a rematch clause because they never thought of losing. Now they know, so why should Peterson care? The fight was so close that if Khan won he'll never give Peterson a rematch. Poetic justice!

Peterson is a C-/C fight for Pacquiao, pretty much in the same way that Robert Guerrero is for Floyd. While I think Guerrero is far superior to Peterson, he hasn't really proved all that much at 135, let alone 140-147. With that said, neither has Peterson. He got dominated by Bradley, fought a draw with Ortiz (he really should have lost), beat a pretty good guy in Cayo, and than beat Khan (but he really didn't). Lamont needs to rematch Amir Khan. If he beats Khan again, convincingly and without controversy, than Mayweather and Pacquiao are still there for him and are that much more likely.

There is absolutely no way Lamont should be chosen before Timothy Bradley to fight Pacquiao, unless Manny doesn't want to fight Bradley. I can't see why Manny won't just stand up and force Bob to make the Floyd fight on May 5th, but it what it is. It will be truly sad if Pacquiao then doesn't even fight Timothy Bradley. Bradley would be the best selection for Manny since Marquez in 08', or maybe even since Morales in 05', or Marquez in 04'. Bradley is top 10 P4P, unbeaten, in his prime, it would an A- fight. The only thing preventing it from being a full fledge A is that Bradley hasn't beaten someone like Berto or Ortiz at 147 lbs. But, if Manny fights Bradley, it has to be rated up there with Floyd fighting Hatton, who was unbeaten, in his prime, #4 P4P.

If Floyd's not happening, the only other fight that it remotely possible for Manny that makes any sense is Miguel Cotto at 154 lbs, not at 147-150. If it's at 154, it's a B+ fight. If it's at 150, it's a C fight. If it's at 147, it's a C-. Enough said.

Absolutely, I totally agree. Khan would NEVER give Peterson a rematch if it were the other way around. His b!tch ass just wants to move up and get his ass kicked any way. Accept your blessing in disguise Con and be happy cause 147 would've been your demise any way. You got KO'd by a nobody but was still manipulated into a title, the you got stopped in the 10th round by Maidana but had a paid off ref on your side, now your got beat at your own game so just GET OVER IT!!!!!

let any boxer earn his keep, whats wrong if a boxer is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime to earn the amount that awhile back he only dreamt of? theres a lot of morons in this board who thinks they know a lot about boxing. Lamont Peterson for one deserves the big fight and any boxer at that, they put their lives on the line in the pursuit of their dreams why deny them when theres opportunity just because some morons have their own opinions?? puck you all, let him fight whoever offers him the best if you do not like it shut the f u c k up nobody cares for your opinion ... and im not even mad at that, capish? nyahahahaha

                IAB boxing organization

Hey, A Mere Con, a little bit of info, brah.

Don’t try to recapture something lost in that past; try to capture something even better in the future.

There are plenty of other titles you can get. So why are you so insistent on getting "your" titles back?

You’re only making yourself look bad by raising all these accusations and filing all these appeals.

I thought you lost the fight to Peterson -- and lost it by more than the two points you were deducted for pushing. Besides, the ref continually warned you not to push, so the points deduction, in my mind, was valid.

Look, if you are as good as you think you are, titles won’t matter. With your (supposed) talent, you should be able to win considerably more tiles in the future, particularly in higher weight classes.

Listen, those alphabet titles don’t mean much and are almost irrelevant, especially when a boxer is moving up in weight.

Finally, I’ll tell you what, pick some bum to fight, and I’ll sanction your next bout so you can get title. I’ll create a new organization and it will be called the “IAB,” witch stands for “I’m A Bitcch.” The name might be that good, but at least you’ll have title.

A rematch clause could not be forced into the contract as Lamont was the mandatory for the IBF belt. Meaning Khan faught Peterson or he lost the belt.

If Pac would fight Peterson, every hater would bash the fight even though they've requested Pac to fight an opponent coming of an impressive win, which Lamont definitely does even though it was controversial.

With that being said though, I'd rather see Pac fight Bradley.
