Richard Schaefer has told Sky Sports that he expects Amir Khan's fight with Lamont Peterson to be declared a no-contest in the coming days. The furor over a ringside 'mystery man', later revealed to be Mustafa Ameen, an IBF official who attended the fight but was not on official business and was adjudged to be distracting judge George Hill, who gave the fight to Lamont by 112-113, was started by Khan via Twitter earlier this week and now looks to have finally turned the tide in the Bolton boxer's favor and should result in a rematch.

This is gonna be the new trend. When May hit dumb Ortiz with his hands down, people started to do it. Now that Khan is appealing a close lost, everybody's gonna start. If its a close fight, forget trying to angle a rematch, go to court and get your titles back. I wonder what Roach is saying about this.

A NC for what?? Was there a non-boxing related injury? Was there a headbutt cut before the first round? How the hell can this be changed to a NC? Khan is such a little crybaby *****. Deal with it and move on Queen Khan. You ran the whole fight, threw less effective punches, pushed Lamont a 100 times (inc. with your forearm) and hit him on the break as well. This decision better not be changed....if so, it is only because Khan is Roach's fighter, and this would prove that apparently you have to knockout Roach fighters just to get decisions.

If Khan had won this fight I very much doubt Peterson would have been able to overturn the decision because of the man with the hat.I would not put it past GBP to pay the WBA under the table to swing things their way. The way the WBA was paid off to loosen their mandatory rules to keep Maidana out of the frame was dodgy. The man in the hat thing is not right but GBP relationship with the WBA is dodgy also.
