williams doesnt use his reach and height advatange much and would rather fight toe to toe.. i remember him getting so excited after pacquiao cotto fight saying he wanted in the ring in there with guys fight toe to toe..

he's not an idiot for being a warrior. there have been plenty of tall fighters that fought like warriors (corrales for example didn't always use his height).

I think his trainer is an idiot though. To this day Williams has absolutely no idea how to fight a southpaw, and I remember he admitted that before he fought Lara. He was saying he "doesn't know the difference". That lays on his trainer for not teaching and preparing him for lefties.

His trainer just has him do these extreme work-out programs that prepares him for throwing 100+ pounches per round. That's it. That's the game plan pretty much every fight.

Definitely a lot of both. If he was fighting bums I'd say he is an idiot, but he's clearly a warrior considering the level of competition he is always willing to fight.

A warrior does what is necessary to win the battle. If a warrior has a spear and the enemy has a knife, the warrior wouldn't drop his spear to make the fight more fair.

hes a warrior theres no doubt about that. an idiot? no. hes no master strategist in there thats for sure but to call him an idiot is unfair.

its on his trainer for not teaching him diffrently. also paul wants to make the fans happy real bad, probably more than anyone in boxing. then again, that hes still doing that considering how little most fans appreciate him isnt smart thats for sure.
