Will There Be Another Great Heavyweight Champion?

There are some memorable names and spectacular legacies to consider, such as Muhammad Ali, John L Sullivan, Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, George Forman, Joe Frazier, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson. [details]

The answer to your question is yes, but the amount of time that we'll see another great heavyweight champ is the real question.

Unless one of the current champions has the skills and drive to become the "unified and undisputed" heavyweight champion and can hold onto the belts for a significant amount of defenses, I doubt we'll see another great heavyweight champion anytime soon.

I'm hoping Brewster will come out ahead with all the titles and in doing so, can do it in grand fashion(exciting knockouts or slugfests).
