I think Shane is deluding himself if he thinks the only reason for his bad performances in his last few fights were due to his bad ankle. He did look more static than normal vs Pac but he was coming forward vs Sergio which was after he apparently injured it in the build up to the Berto fight.

Canelo is a good fight for both men to take. Not sure how much credit Canelo gets for beating a man in his 40s who hasnt won in years and has zero credibility left however im sure its just teh name on his record he is after and he should get that. Shane has to show more effort in losing this time or it could be his last payday.
