Tarver Playing The Role As Heavy!!

World light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver has bulked up to a solid 200 pounds to play the opposite Sylvester Stallone in 'Rocky Six.' "Mason Dixon is a very brash, very skillful heavyweight champion," said Tarver, descibing his character in th film. "Unfortunately, he came along at a time when the heavyweight division is much like it is today, and people are remembering the great days when Rocky Balboa was on top. It must have been a fortune teller who wrote the script because that's what we're gunning for in the near future. Acting in this film gives me an opportunity to really feel what being the heavyweight champion of the world is all about." Once shooting wraps up for Tarver in mid-January, he'll be back in the gym to get ready for his next great adventure in the ring. "I'm looking to go on to bigger and better things, and I'm going to be taking it to the next level," said Tarver. "I think the heavyweight division is in dire need of CPR and I'm gonna be the breath of fresh air."

I would love nothing more than for Antonio Tarver to be able to say "I beat Roy Jones TWICE and 'Iron' Mike Tyson"

I'm looking forward to the movie also, but I still think RJJ should have got the role.

Nah, they needed someone scarier. How big of a threat would Roy be to Rocky anyway? OH NO! HE'S DANCING AROUND THE RING! LOOK OUT, ROCKY!

Besides, Roy has a ****ing lisp. Probably didn't get the role the same reason Tyson didn't. THEY AREN'T SCARY INDIVIDUALS.

Tarver speaks like he's educated, which is more than any Rocky opponent has ever been. Rocky is ****ed.

That's great and all, but will he be able to say he beat "Rocky Balboa?" And if he does beat him, the critics will chastise Tarver for beating a shot over the hill boxer like Balboa. He's probably just in it for the money!
