Does anyone else think Rigo didn't do so well against Ricardo Cordoba?

I have that fight in my head.

he also wears a lip ring. a lip ring dammit! lol
rico wasnt getting outboxed easily in his last fight, and its funny how people keep pointing to a fight where he koed a champ with 1 shot. look at he's other fights and you will see. your boy rigo was getting whooped too in his last fight. show me a fighter who likes getting hit at this level. that being said i agree with you on that lip ring though

Rigo destroyed Willie Casey in the first round in his last outing. You might be talking about the Cordoba fight. I've expressed my displeasure with the way Guillermo fought against Ricardo many times, but Rigo wasn't getting "whooped" by any stretch of the imagination.

in boxing, anybody can be KO'd with one punch. . . im not taking away from that KO, because it was a picture perfect lead hook, but i think the 6-7 rounds prior are more of an indication than one well placed punch. . .

he was getting out timed, outworked, out hustled, and just plain outboxed. . .

GOOD DEAL brother! I'll add it to my betting page.

                  El Chacal is the truth!

Rico is very talented as well, but guillermo is that once every few decades type potential. . .

Good post. If the Ramos-Shimoda fight had been close and Rico landed that one shot to end it, I would be much more impressed with him as a fighter. (As it is, I definitely give him credit for the win.) But Ramos was clearly being outclassed in that fight. That's not just my opinion, but that of most people on here.

Admittedly, I don't know much about Rico outside of his last performance. However, if what I saw was anywhere indicative of his abilities, he's going to have a really tough time against Rigo. I suppose it's fair to say that if someone only saw Rigondeaux versus Cordoba, they might get the wrong impression of Rigo. I'm well aware that you can't necessarily judge a fighter on the strength of one outing. In my case at least, I know Rigo's talent and I'm confident in his superiority over nearly everyone at 122, with the possible exception of Donaire.

Anyway, I'm willing to bet all my points on "El Chacal" against anyone who cares to take my offer.

True statement. What remains to be seen is if Rigo lives up to that potential.
