at this stage there's really nothing out there that bernard does better.

he's too old to impliment the level of craft it would take (that he may have posessed) to somehow beat ward over 12 rounds


that's called earning respect

Hopkins is not avoiding Ward because he thinks he would lose.
Both guys have a ton of respect for each other and their respective teams have a close relationship. On top of that, Hopkins wouldn't make a lot of money fighting him.
