Larry Holmes was very underrated not only on his prime, but also when he made his comeback in 91. When he was between 40-45 he was a very underrated and good heavyweight able to give any of the best pure hell.
Beat a prime Mercer better then anyone, and fought Holyfield to a close fight in my opinion (7-5 Holyfield), landed 50% of his punches in the fight, and fought McCall at 45 to a razor close loss, that could have gone his way.
Not as good as in his prime of course but still, consider how much praise and love Foreman got for what he did in his comeback. Larry would have beaten Foreman during that time. And Foreman probably knew that, and was never realy keen on making that fight.Comment
