Chavez gets hated on because he fights guys like Manfredo. I will give him some respect if he beats Rubio. His chin will def get checked in this fight and he showed the willingness to brawl in the past so he will be able to answer a bunch of questions if he can mix it up and make it out alive.

Chavez isn't a fraud - it is his record that is a fraud!! Before Wilfredo Vasquez fights his 23rd fight, he will have fought Arce and Donaire!!! Canelo and Chavez who have 39 and 44 fights STILL have not fought ANYONE near the threat level as these two guys Vasquez will have fought before his 23rd fight!!!

Rubio has power, but if this is Chavez's greatest challenge, Chavez has a long way to go.

Envy of what?...A career which has very little legitimacy (in terms of legacy) it borders upon farcical!
Yeah, I'm sure Martinez has a case of "the green eyed monster" about the illustrious list of opponents that JCC jnr has faced. Dear oh dear, LOL!!!

LMAO this is going in my sig.

I'd never heard of Rubio before his fight against Lemieux. Although Lemieux is obviously a hype job, I believe I saw enough of Rubio from just that fight to predict he'll beat Chavez jr by ko, most likely before the 6th round.

As soon as jr eats a decent shot from Rubio the new and improved "stick n' move" (if being able to outbox Peter Manfredo is indeed an indication of improvement) JCC will disappear and the old punch for a punch JCC will be back and better than ever. The only difference will be that Chavez will find exchanging punches with a known power puncher is a little bit tougher than exchanging with the likes of Billy "Malignaggi hits harder than me" Lyell and Sebastian "I won't hit hard if you don't" Zbik.

he will never get a shot with Top Rank fighter if he keeps bullying Pacquiao, Cotto and Chavez jr.
