"Generally, prizefighters that get remembered are one of two things: very exciting, or legitimately great. Very few are both. There’s a good reason for that: It’s vulnerability that makes a fighter exciting. And the great ones are too dominant, at least until they’re at or near the end, to be especially vulnerable."

Thats the same situation i see in their styles. The only intangible is if floyd can handle extreme pressure.

        edit* rock paper sissors situation

Yeah that would be just like you,****ers

This is why i keep saying cotto was way more hurt here than in the Corley fight.

          More **** Ive been saying.

I also think cotto would benefit, right now that hes young, from working with some top Trainers, like its mentioned towards the end of the article,he could be better without too much effort i think, just by putting some good work in the gym.

Thanks for the article Killer, ****ing nuthugger

cotto is a strong puncher, and torres probably is too, but cotto got rocked by corley and his opposition is weak
i understand they are nurturing him or whatever, thats fine, but dont put him on floyd and hattons level just yet
lets see fight fight a big fight first
I put Taylor on Hopkins level after he defeated Raul Marquez. I was one of the first to claim that Taylor would dethrone Hopkins after that fight, and I had everyone tellin me it he isn't developed yet, needs 2-3 more years of fighting. Well almost exactly a year later he did the un thinkable.

2 more solid fights for Cotto and he is ready to take Hattons IBF strap.

Exactly I dont think Floyd will be able to handle the constant pressure from Hatton. He will get on the ropes and try to counter Hatton, while getting hit himself with some big shots.

Cotto on the other hand I believe will constantly cirlce the ring, not giving Hatton a chance to pressure him to the extent that he would like. At the same time I can see him landing his jab and left hook to the body of Hatton to slow him down for later rounds.

....as far as we know, none of the fatal vices that afflict so many athletes: women, booze, hubris
Wrong, Cotto has some drinking issues he has to solve, he has to be more professional. Part of his struggles to make weight is he drinks and likes to party too much, anyone from Puerto Rico can tell you that, hopefully he does it before he gets hurt in the ring. Yet Cotto is my man and I would take him over any 140 pounder.
