John injures ankle, bout with Marquez postponed!

November 15, 2005 - WBA featherweight champion Chris John recently injured his ankle while doing roadwork and his December 9 defense against featherweight king Juan Manuel Marquez has been postponed. No exact date has been nailed down as this goes to print, but it is expected to be rescheduled for sometime in January. Remember where you heard it first! (12:35 PM EST)

I guess Marquez will have to wait a couple more months to get the $31,000 that he was suppose to receive for the fight
